Dragon Age Origins Tactics

Dragon Age Origins Tactics is explored here. The party involved include

• an arcane warrior - blood mage level 14
• Morrigan using her cold spells - Cone of Cold and Blizzard, and Sleep spells - Horror, Sleep and Waking Nightmare
• Zevran - using Stealth III and above, Dirty Fighting, Combat Movement, Coup De Grace, and Cripple
• Leliana using Bard skills and achery skills and Dirty Fighting to compliment and support the team

The cannon fodder here are deep stalkers. There are 2 or 3 groups of deep stalkers here which engage the party. The last fight involves a deep stalker leader, slightly more difficult than the average deep stalker, but still good cannon fodder.

The dragon age origins tactics involved here is simple, can may in fact be used in other rpgs. It involves 3 or 4 main steps - Beef up with spells, and talents, then stun or freeze the enemies and then sneak attack the enemies or use massive damage area effect spells.

As can be seen in the video below, the main character is deployed as a healer, and he is also an arcane warrior and is therefore shielded and beefed up to handle more than the usual damage from attacks for an ordinary mage. He can also cast blood magic spell Blood Wound, which damages and holds enemies. Use potions after that to heal oneself.

Morrigan is used here actively by the player to cast cold spells and sleep spells repeatedly to hold the enemies in ice or sleep.

Zevran then moves in (in stealth mode, use Combat tactics to do this automatically), and stuns and then sneak attacks the enemies for massive damage.

Leliana sings her songs and also joins in the fun, using dirty fighting when needed to stun the enemies.

Morrigan or the player character then rounds up the fight by casting massive damage spells like Blizzard and Fireball.
