Elven Princess Medieval Costumes

Let's have a look at elven princess medieval costumes and armour that have graced medieval fantasy books, rpg table top games, rpg video games and medieval television series and movies over the years.

First up is the elven princess Laurana - the Golden General who first appeared in the legendary medieval fantasy series Dragonlance in the 1980s. She appeared initially as the hapless and lovestruck elven princess who would later become the Golden General (due to her long blond hair) after successfully defending the castle from the evil dragons using the dragonlance after the fall of Sturm.

In the animated cartoon Dragonlance - Dragons of Autumn Twlight, she appears dressed in simple elegant elven princess leather or cloth armour. Here she is depicted in a battered breastplate armour with a red cape, complimenting her blonde locks and standing over the fallen knight Sturm.

With Neverwinter Nights 2011 on its way, fans will reflect on the greatest female elf to grace the neverwinter nights scene, only to fall in disgrace with her ultimate betrayal and transformation from a warrior cleric into a blackguard. When the first Neverwinter nights was released, images of Aribeth spread like rapid fire across the internet. Today, a search produces the imagery of Aribeth as an elf dressed in metallic shiny armour, with sexy breast clasping chestplate, and symbolic of the protector of Neverwinter. In other pictures, she is dressed in luminous black armour depicting her betrayal of Neverwinter and throwing down her lot and becoming the Blackguard. Aribeth de Tylmarande - still the daring elven princess of many fans.

Next up has to be Arwen, the elven princess who inspired many babies to be named after her. And she is only just the medieval fantasy elven princess of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Arwen is often dressed in these movies as an elegant and out worldly elf in a exquisite gown or in a simple medieval style travelling cloak for easy journeys and blending into the background. A hood is often needed to hide those pointy ears.

With the impending filming of the Hobbit movies and rumours that they will be called the Hobbit: There and Back Again, and the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, will Arwen make a return? She is, after all, an elf and immortal.

Although not technically elven, Arya, the princess from the one off dragon movie Eragon, could almost pass off as an elf, with her exquisite beauty and slender build. She is definitely the princess darling of many fans of Eragon, who all cry out for the second Eragon movie and for the chance to see her again in medieval princess costumes.

In Eragon, Arya is dressed in a sleeveless cross over between cloth armour or vest and leather armour. This piece of armour almost blends in with her fair skin. A sexy long skirt and medieval boots make up the rest of the costume. Apparently this costume is easy to emulate.

Fast forward into the Now - the next elf to become the princess darling of fans this summer will be Talis - a rogue elf. Talis is a character based in the dragon age universe, where she will join up with companions and take down an apostle mage. Talis, played by Felicia Day, already looks extraordinarily cool. Here in the dragon age redemption movie trailer, she is seen dressed in leather green, and armed with a pair of daggers, which she wields and throws with precision. Pointy ears are not an accessory.
