Frilled Shark
The frilled shark may be considered as one of the few "monster shark" type creatures left in the world. It has been mistaken as a sea serpent sometimes because of its head, shape and tail. It is also considered as an endangered species, being found in decreasing fewer numbers in the seas south of Japan. It is not hard to imagine the frilled shark as a sea shark monster given its grotesques head, its snake-like tail and the name of "shark", which adds to the predatory aura of the creature. However, the frilled shark actually feeds on other sharks.
Shark Monsters
Whilst the frilled shark may not be regarded in real life as a shark monster, sharks are generally feared and considered dangerous. To this end, many horror and monster movies have been made befitting this theme. One of the very earliest movie to make use of this theme is Jaws, which chronicles the adventures of a particular great white shark as it makes a meal of humans enjoying the beaches and seas where it patrols. There have been a slew of monster films describing sharks as predatory masters of the seas feasting on humans. These include Jaws, Deep Blue Sea and Shark Swarm. It should not be surprising that the next Shark film will be produced soon in 3D. There was a time when Jaws was featured in 3D; however the technology was just not good enough in the 1980s.

Frilled Sea Serpent Shark Monsters Combo
Following the success of monster sharks franchise and aside from shooting the next monster shark movie in 3D, it looks like the next stage in the monster shark franchise is to combine everything, preferably scientifically rather than mystically through gene slicing to creat the ultimate monster - a variety of which can be somehow derived from the phrase - "frilled sea serpent shark monsters combo".
The truth may be closer than one thinks, with the emergence of the next great shark movie - Sharktopus, combining the great predatory instinct of the shark with the flexibility and tendril capturing ability of the great octopus. Other combinations include creating the Loch Ness Frilled Sea Serpent - a frilled shark combined with the loch ness monster and inhabiting certain lakes of the world. Even a godzilla type shark monster film may be on the horizon. One never knows with the creative digital film making these days. For the moment, enjoy the clip from the next gen shark monster.
