The gargoyle is of course a stone creature which comes to life usually at night, away from the sun. The architect stumble upon an old church, and find certain pagan carvings.and intricate gargoyles statues. He unwittingly wakes a mysterious creature, and all hell breaks loose in Paris. Eric Balfour starred in the sci fi movie Skyline. In Rise of the Gargoyles, Balfour's co star include Catherine Neron who plays a french reporter. Horror mixed with the romance of Paris - the stuff of gargoyles movie.

Other gargoyles movies and tv series that have come and passed include the cartoon television series Gargoyles, where a group of warriors were cursed to become gargoyles by a wizard, to remain in stone until a day when the castle which they had sworn to protect rose above the skies. In the 21st century, a rich billionaire bought this castle and transplanted the castle to a New York Skyscraper, thus bringing the gargoyles back to life.

Another gargoyles movie that came out in the mid 2000s was the gargoyle movie Gargoyle - Wings of Darkness. This movie is set in Romania where another mysterious creature has become free, and is plaguing the people of a certain part of Romania. Again it looks like conventional weapons cannot be used as this infamous wings of darkness. What weapons can be used against this beast of stone?
