GI Joe Costumes

With the filming of GI Joe 2, let's examine the GI Joe Costumes and speculate which character will make an appearance in GI Joe 2. First up is the character Snake Eyes - a silent operative of the GI Joe Corps. This character uses a samurai sword or katana in one hand, and another weapon of choice in the other hand. Covered in all black suit (likely with GI accelerator suit just covering the skin), and an accessory belt with all kinds of gadgets for infiltration and sneak attack, this silent assassin of GI Joe is a valuable member. Of note is his almost opaque all black mask which asks the question - does he move by sight, by intuition or some kind of martial arts sixth sense?  A perfect example for science fiction based halloween costumes, if you manage to work out how to walk and talk through the black mask.

GI Joe Villain Storm Shadow will return in GI Joe 2. This villain of GI Joe is in stark contrast to Snake Eyes. He is brash, arrogant, dressed in all white, and not silent, except when stalking his prey. The GI Joe Villain Storm Shadow costume consists of a white jacket or overall and a white mask with partings around the eyes, and again a katana for weapon.

The GI Joe Cobra Commander is born through devious scheming of the doctor played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the GI Joe movie - the Rise of Cobra. As with an devious plan and scheme, the GI Joe Cobra Commander has to hide behind a silver opaque mask (opaque or the outside, and see through on the inside). There must be a cobra insignia on his chest clothes or costumes to make people recognize him as the Cobra Commander. The silver mask and dark blue cap must be complemented by a blue overall and black boots and gloves to raise the level of deviousness for the GI Joe Commander costume.

The Doctor's devious plans continue to the Baroness, once of noble intentions, but converted into an agent of Cobra through the use of Cobra's nanotechnology that controls her minds and forces her to do Cobra's bidding against GI Joe. That said, the GI Joe Baroness Costume is one of the most unforgettable and sexy costume in the GI Joe movie.

To counter the various agents and technology of Cobra, the GI Joes produce the accelerator suit. This accelerator suit accelerates the wearers' speed, agility, and strength and is put to good use by Breaker, Heavy Duty and Ripcord as they dive and swirl around all the missiles thrown at them in the Paris street fight scene. Of course, the accelerator suit in the body of Rachel Nichols playing Shana "Scarlett" O'Hara is breath-taking. Distraction alone will cause many cobra agents to be defeated in the space of a few seconds.
